Jan van Eck announced as speaker

VanEck CEO Jan van Eck will be a speaker at the 2026 Exchange conference. “Jan van Eck is an ETF legend, so it is exciting to have him on stage at Exchange,” said VettaFi Head of Research Todd Rosenbluth. “His insights are always very informative for advisors."

Van Eck an industry titan

Jan van Eck is the CEO of VanEck Funds, a global investment manager founded in 1955 and one of the world’s largest ETFs sponsors. VanEck offers over 180 ETFs and ETNs globally across international equities, global resources, and international and domestic fixed income. Additionally, they manage over $132 billion and are known as an early advocate for gold investing (1968), commodities, emerging markets, and digital assets.

Jan van Eck became CEO in 2010, after founding the firm’s ETF business in 2006. He has been with the firm since 1991, holds a J.D. from Stanford University, and graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Williams College with a major in economics. He is on the advisory board of USC’s Marshall Business School, the board of the National Committee on U.S.-China Relations, and the Williams College board.

Accordingly, he is a sought-after industry voice. Aside from producing VanEck’s quarterly investment outlook, he has appeared on CNBC and Bloomberg Television. He was a 2013 Finalist for Institutional Investor's Fund Leader of the Year. Additionally, he received ETF.com’s 2024 Lifetime Achievement Award. He is a New York Islanders hockey fan.

Exchange 2026 roster is stacked

Jan van Eck joins an already impressive Exchange speaker line up that includes voices like Kara Swisher, DoubleLine’s Jeffrey Sherman, and the SEC’s Hester Peirce. Consequently, advisors looking to make sense of today’s increasingly complicated markets should register for Exchange. The conference takes place March 15–18 at the Virgin Hotel in Las Vegas.
